There are a lot of games available on PlayStation 4 and everyone wants to play these games. Sadly not everyone can effort the gaming platform like PlayStation 4.
Most of us want to play PlayStation 4 games on our PC or Mac. Microsoft has worked out this a long time ago to allow users to play Xbox one games on Windows and after that Sony came with PS4 Remote Play. With PS4 Remote Play, users can now play all the games of PlayStation 4 on their own Mac or PC. All you need to have are minimum requirements for it.
Here are the minimum requirements for using the PS4 Remote Play. For running the PS4 Remote Play you should be on one of these operating systems –
- Windows 8.1
- Windows 10 or later
- OS X Yosemite or later
PS4 Remote Play allows the user to play the games in the resolution and frame rate of 720p. For having optimum performance users need an excellent internet connection and at minimum 15 Mbps. Also, there requires DualShock 4 controller, which works when connected to PC or USB but before doing so you need to follow these steps to play PlayStation 4 games on your PC or Mac :
Download and install the official Remote Play
First of all, you will have to download the official Remote Play app for your PC or Mac. The app can be downloaded from any trusted source over the web.
Ensure your PlayStation 4 is running software v3.50 or above
For running the Remote Play app after you install the app you will probably be promoted to update it to version 3.50. Alternatively, it’s also possible to update it manually going through the system settings.
Connect the Controller – DualShock 4
Don’t think of trying the Remote Play with the Bluetooth controllers as Sony only made it support wired controller. To work with Remote Play you will have to connect the DualShock 4 controller and run it with the start.
Log into your PSN account.
You can start with the Remote Play with the PSN account itself. Click Manually connect if your PS4 isn’t automatically detected.
The Remote Play should connect itself automatically but if it doesn’t connect you will have to do it manually. To do manual work you will have to keep both PS4 and Mac or PC on the same network. In your PS4, go to Settings > Remote Play Connection Settings > Add device and give the number provided by the Remote Play app.
